Corporate Karting Events at the North East’s
No.1 Outdoor Racing Circuit
Your staff and customers can have the opportunity to race at one
of the UK’s top circuits. Purpose built in 1996 it now holds
rounds of the British Kart Championship where professional drivers
regularly do battle. It’s a challenging 1200 metre circuit
that combines fast straights and tight technical corners and your
guests can have exclusive use of the circuit. Unlike many kart centres,
we are not restricted to racing 8 or 9 karts at once. We can have
up to 25 all racing at the same time which makes for fast and furious
fun.
Our fleet are the very latest design and offer new levels of performance
and reliability and are capable of well over 60 mph. In addition,
they are fully adjustable and cater for both large and small frames.
Each Kart features an on board display mounted behind the steering
wheel that displays lap times and race position whilst on the circuit.
Another unique feature is that both the accelerator and brake are
both on one side (the same as an automatic car) which makes the
karts far easier to get used to. All our corporate guests receive
quality Sparco race wear and high quality helmets. For convenience
we have available lockers for storage of any valuables as well as
changing facilities and showers.
We can cater for either small or large groups of up to 100 guests.
Groups from 5 to 25 can take advantage of our Grand Prix format
which consists of a 15 minute timed practice session with the fastest
driver starting on pole position for a 30 minute race with all 25
racing at once. Larger groups enjoy the endurance format where guest
are divided into teams of 2, 3, or 4 and take part in an extended
practice session before a long endurance race begins with teams
changing drivers every 15 minutes. During the race, details of positions
are displayed on our plasma screen in the clubhouse so drivers can
see their position before they go out onto the circuit. A presentation
takes place at the end of each event when quality trophies are presented
to the winning team or individual, with a medal also being awarded
for the fastest lap.
Karting North East can offer a variety of catering options ranging
from a simple buffet to high quality barbeque and can also cater
for specific dietary needs. We can also arrange for photographs
of the event to be taken.
Before any corporate event, an event manager is appointed who is
in control and available to answer any questions guests may have.
He is on the lookout for any natural drivers as well as any “unusual”
manoeuvres that can be used during the trophy presentation. With
