FlexLink form bonding films - 1100R+

Available in thickness’ 400 to 1100 microns. Flexlinks are acrylic foams, designed to provide very high performance bonding, fixing and mounting of assembly parts, where historically wet glues, screws and other mechanical fixings may have been required. Utilised widely in signage and transport industries, where the cellular nature of these products help provide a compressible gasket and seal, in addition to fixation. Applications include mounting of acrylic lettering, metal ribs for flat panels, metal surrounds to acrylic sheet, auto decals and mouldings, white and consumer goods assembly.

FlexLINK 1100R+ , is a syntactic pure acrylic foam bonding system.

It is ideally suited to bonding difficult and disimilar substrates and surfaces, including metals, cermics, many plastics and even painted, lacquered or powder coated finishes.

The syntactic foam construction, provides excellent conformability and is therefore ideal for rough, uneven and structured surfaces. In addition the foam offers excellent sealing dampening and vibration absorbtion capabities, ensuring that bonded joints remain permantly secure, even in critical and exacting applications. Also, at this thickness, differing tensions and thermal expansions between the substrates are accommodated and absorbed by the acrylic foam.

FlexLINK 1100R+ has good initial tack, combined with its superior bonding characteristics, enabling easy assembly and positioning. This product is therefore ideal for all permanent fixing and mounting applications of component parts, even for outdoor use.

Temperature Resistance: from - 40°C to + 120°C (long term) 160°C+ (short term).
According to ISTM D3654.
Method: area of 6.25cm2 with 1kg load @1200c for 10 000 minutes.
Result: No change.
