This monograph deals with both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the systematic instrumental effects in homodyne electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometers.
It describes the mechanisms of systematic instrumental distortions and explains methods for their elimination.
The practical procedures for setting the instrumental parameters for undistorted recording of an unknown spectra are described, as well as test methods which enable the user to estimate the actual performance state of this spectrometer.
These tests can be made with such popular standards as DPPH, perylene in sulphuric acid and Varian's Strong Pitch and Weak Pitch.
